We formed Utah Portrait Arts back in September last year, and have been going strong since then.  We acquired a studio/office space in Holladay, where we meet clients and present their portraits to them on our large display screen.  We usually shoot on location to take advantage of Utah’s beautiful scenery, but when needed, we can set up the space for studio photography.  The grounds are lovely with lawns, trees, flowers, and ivy, and we plan to shoot portraits outside as well.

Don’t worry, I am still Melissa Kelsey Photography…bring on the weddings!  Partnering with Nick for Utah Portrait Arts has allowed us to pool our resources to really create a wonderful brand and experience for our clients.

Utah Portrait Arts has a new office and studio space, and in the spirit of the newness of spring, we want to celebrate with a fantastic portrait special.

We are offering 20 minute mini portrait sessions outdoors on the beautiful park-like grounds of our studio. We have a big lawn, tall trees, a park bench, and ivy covered walls.

They were playing in my yard and they looked so cute in their awesome little outfits, I had to do an impromptu photo shoot of them. You’d think they were specially prepared in their blue and pink coordinated outfits, Georgia with a pink pettiskirt under her dress, but no, they pretty much look that cute and fashionable every day. Their mom, Soozee is an artist and has a way with color and pattern. I love these little girls so much.

He was born on December 21st and I took these shots about 2 weeks after he was born. My sister and brother in-law live in Logan and by the time we got up there, it was almost dark, so I just used the light from the adjacent hall to the room I was shooting in as my light source. I quite like them and his momma, Tami, does to. Looking forward to watching you grow up, Max! Oh, and in case you were wondering, Max is not short for Maxwell, Maximus, or Maximillian. It’s just plain Max and I like it.
